It has been a L O N G time between updates! sorry about that, had to learn a few more computer tricks to get to this point! and I am a slow learner in that department. Now with some help from some good friends, I think finally there will be some very noticeable progress .
I plan to add a lot more images to the different section topics, have lots of new art for you all to see and to hear your comments. I have missed hearing from you all. I have gotten my 2 covid vaccine injections, made a few masks, and have been socially distancing, and staying home a lot! I hope you all are safe and well and Welcome back to my website.

This just one of the 30 pastel bird paintings in my solo show : Snowbird series on Grid Row at the Williamson Co Library in Franklin, TN. from Sept 1 - oct 31, 2018.
Check out the pastel page for more birds. I have painted 39 of them so far, all from photos I took of the birds in my back yard and several more to go. All the rest of the snowbirds are now on the Pastel page. The flock has really grown!
I hope you find them enjoyable. They sure were fun to paint. Check out the new additions to the pastel page. You will find some snow birds there.
Also some new additions to the mixed media page. check out the new Mixed Media page:
I have been playing with pebeo products since the first of 2015 and have had a lot of fun and challenges learning how to use it. It is quite different from anything I have used before...most of the "painting" is done with a stick or toothpick to push the paint around. Using a brush with this stuff is not an easy task as the paint sticks to the brush and doesn't flow off. It has a mind of its own. In April I took a week long workshop with Kathleen Conover, she is a wonderful artist and teacher. She is also very entertaining. Her class was titled "Chaos to Order". I have had chaos down well for years (just look at my studio!). I am working on the order part in my paintings and now after Kathleen's class I have a good start on improvement in that department. Besides all that Kathleen taught, I met some lovely ladies who shared our tables for the class. We learned a few things from each other and about each other and have become friends....always a class bonus! I took some zentangle classes last year and it is improved my pen and ink skills. Zentangle is a neasy, relaxing pursuit, and can be made as simple or complicated as the mood hits. I have included a page of some of my tangles from some greeting cards I made and also some initials I did for my daughter. I have added some more pictures on this site in the photography site, and the pastel site. I have some more pastel birds (almost finished) to add to the new robin on the page. Hope you enjoy the recent changes and the ones I am in the process of adding to the pages. Thanks for stopping by to see my website. I am showing 7 works with Art Seen in the Ethel Smith Gallery of the TN Art League on 5th Ave in Nashville, TN. The show "its all about color" will be on view through Oct 26, 2013 during regular gallery hours.
Echappe` a mixed media collage was accepted in to the Penny Royal show at the Hopkinsville Community College in Hopkinsville, KY.
The show can be viewed at the Hopkinsville Community College Auditorium through Oct 31, 2013 The first place award was presented for my watercolor on yupo," Fishy, Fishy in the Brook, Pappa catch em on a hook, momma fry em in a pan, and baby eat em fast as he can."
The juror wrote a comment explaining why this particular painting was chosen for a first place award and has it hanging next to the painting. I will quote it when I get it in writing. The juror also chose my mixed media collage, "Echappe` for an honorable mention. Fishy, fishy and Echappe` are pictured below in a previous post. You will need to scroll down to view them. I have 3 works juried into this show: "Fishy Fishy in the Brook", "Iggy's Day Out", and "Echappe`. You can view images of these works a little way down this blog page.
